ひな祭り ＜女の子のお祭り＞

季節の風物詩
３月３日はひな祭りです。岩槻市の人形店では２月頃から駅前沿道の人形店で「いらっしゃい」の呼び声が聞こえます。呼び込みは旗を振っての身振り手振りはこの時期の風物詩です。まだ２月は寒く春はもうちょっと先の感じです。

平安時代、宮中の幼い姫たちが、紙や布、華などでつくった人形で遊んでいたのが、ひな人形のおこりといわれています。
人形には厄払いなどの意味がこめられ、3月初めの巳の日に、人形に汚れや禍いを移し、川や海に流して自分の身をきよめたと伝えられます。内裏びなのふくよかな美しい微みとこの習わしにこめられた幸福を願う心は、いつまでも伝え続けていきたいものです。

Even as far back as the Heian perjod little princesses in the imperial Palace used to play with dolls made of paper,Cloth and grass, etc.
This was called “Hina Asobi”(doll play)and was the origin of the traditional hina doll.
Originally, People used float to dolls in streams to exorcize evil spirits.
But later when they began decorating their rooms with dolls, parents started to display hina dolls as they prayed for the happinesss of their young daughters .Hina Matsuri is now held on March 3rd every year.
Q：What is the background of“hina−dolls”？
A：The origin of“hina−dolls”dates back to the Hean period.
Then aristocrats，daughters played with a pair of male and female−Shaped paper dolls which were called hina-dolls. Today a set of hina−dolls are bought by parents or grandparents to celebrate the birth of a girl and to wish her a happy life a princess.
コンパクトになったひな壇
最近のひな祭りに飾られるひな壇はコンパクトなものが多くなり、数段もあるひな壇より、こじんまりと飾ることができ、また収納も楽なものが多く見受けられます。これも住宅事情が影響しているのかもしれません。
